Chinese cancer patients reach 1.8 mln
An official from the Chinese Center for Diseases Control and Prevention says that the number of cancer patients reaches 1.8 million in China, or 70 people in every 100 thousand.
About 1.8 million Chinese people have cancer, China Radio International reported on Sunday.
An official from the Chinese Center for Diseases Control and Prevention, Wu Fan, says in Shanghai the number of cancer patients reaches 1.8 million in China, or 70 people in every 100 thousand.
He says rates of lung cancer and breast cancer are increasing. While, rates of cervical cancer and stomach cancer are dropping.
American Cancer Society and Pfizer Inc will cooperate with the center to start a teaching program in China for preventing cancer.
They will cooperate and communicate on information management, moderate cure technology, and prevention.
