Cytochrome b5 reductase

Definition
Cytochrome b5 reductase is an enzyme in the blood. This enzyme makes sure that red blood cells have adequate iron levels, and thus maximizes their oxygen-carrying capacity. An imbalance in this enzyme results in a condition known as methemoglobinemia.
