‘Eating Better Together’ guide
How do you make nutrituious choices when eating on the run? Its a dilemma we all face but many fast food restaurants are making it easier now by offering healthier choices.
Author and nutritionist JoAnn Hattner says when eating out its a good idea to look for restaurants that have fresh prepared salads. And to look for ones that offer healthier side dishes and milk instead of soda for kids.
Hattner says you should look for items on the menu that are grilled, roasted, steamed or poached, which usually means these items have been prepared without excess fat.
